So we (Caroline and Kimberley and I) are down here in Moose Jaw staying at Jaynee’s place.
There is a movie shoot down the block, so we went and walked around to see what we could see. [The movie is a Movie of the Week ... Mary Higgins Clark's Suspense Theatre: Try To Remember. Directed by Josef Rusnak. Apparently not a pie commercial, as they've been telling the little old ladies that come by.)
And then a lighting/electrical guy (Murray O'Shea [B.A. Fine Arts, U of S, 2001]) came from wherever he was, and started talking to us and hitting on Caroline (unfortunately she was unable to obtain his cell phone number … although hints were dropped).
So we all chatted for a while and I got a picture of this said Murray guy (you’ll be able to see the picture at a later date).
Alas, it is time for bed …. or a long night of sharing stories and not any sleep at all. Til next time.
So I did a little research on the web and this is what I found…
Mysteries headed up to Moose Jaw, Regina
MOOSE JAW, Sask. – A Regina-based film company has opted to stay local when filming a series of TV movies based on the novels of best-selling American mystery writer Mary Higgins Clark.
Time Code Pictures will film the first two movies, Try to Remember and I’ll be Seeing You, in Moose Jaw.
“The look and feel of this place is perfect for that,” producer Stephen Onda told the Moose Jaw Times-Herald. “The town has been spectacular in maintaining its heritage.”
The third movie, The Cradle Will Fall, is planned for Regina.
Higgins Clark’s stories can be described as female-led mysteries, with a background of romance, Onda said, and so far, the first film hasn’t strayed from the formula.
American actress Gabrielle Anwar, best known for her roles in Scent of a Woman and For Love or Money, plays the main character Lisa, who – in the first film – investigates a string of murders in her hometown.
