when the real thing just won’t do

It’s great to have Sally here for Agribition. I really do like having company.
I also have lots of church stuff today and tomorrow. Tonight is a church meeting. Tomorrow morning is the women’s brunch and then tomorrow evening is the young adults’ “international app’y evening”. (That means I have to figure out what to make and go grocery shopping sometime soon.)
At least today is a day off. I really like having bank days. Not to say that I don’t like my job – I do. But lately, there has been all sorts of politics popping up. And that’s no fun. Especially since I’m in the middle.
There’s a guy I know who is in a research methods class right now and would appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to complete this survey on art gallery attendance that he is conducting. The hope of this survey is to build a profile for individuals who attend art galleries.
I neglected to mention that Jamiroquai’s new CD, Dynamite, came out back in September. Somehow, I missed it. However, it continues in the wonderful evolution since Traveling Without Moving and A Funk Odyssey. Smooth edges and a funkalicious groove await your listening ears.
So, at work, coffee breaks occassionally venture into a certain sub-set of Canadian music. There are some steady fans of
Broken Social Scene
and Feist
… to whom Arcade Fire
is occassionally compared.
However, I dislike the burried lyrics of BSS and I’m only a fan of select Feist tracks. Arcade Fire is fantastic … was even left playing for over a week. But what do I know? Have a listen for yourself.
