Balance. Priorities.

“In returning [repentance] and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
Isaiah 30:15 (ESV)

I recently took a class. The final project for a class I took recently involved integrating the course material into a 1-3 year plan. If you’ve read my thoughts for a while, you may recall I have previously lamented my lack of a five year plan and also resisted creating one. Perhaps a moderate two year plan would be more reasonable?

I completed the assignment; even received a good mark. More importantly, I think it was something I could live by and live with.

A foundational thought was to make decisions and move in directions in an intentional way. With that in mind, there was a focus on skill development and on developing my relationship with God. But too much of a good thing does exist. Thus the key to the whole plan was to include intentional time balance.

Which brings us back to the thought in Isaiah — turn around to the right way on the right path; with rest and quiet; trust in God and His plan.
